After a 13-hit, 10-run explosion on Monday, the Mountlake Terrace girls softball team found their bats still warm on Thursday and did it again – 13 hits and 10 runs – in a 10-5 victory over the Monroe Bearcats.

Junior Maddy Kristjanson went 4-for-5 from the plate and picked up the win on the mound for the Hawks, while sophomore Hannah Wilcox hit a solo home run in the fifth inning, her first round-tripper ever.

Terrace pushed their record to 2-2, while the Bearcats dropped to 2-4. The Hawks return home on Friday for a 4 p.m. match-up with the Newport Knights.
