Friday was the season opener for the Mountlake Terrace Hawks Football team with a match up against the Lynnwood Royals. The Hawks shut out the Royals 28-0.

At Edmonds, Casey Ellersick carried 18 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hawks to a non-league win. Terrace quarterback Brandon Eckhart ran 13 times for 76 yards and completed four of six passes for 85, including a 35-yard touchdown pass to Julian Snow. Terrace back Max Wicklander had 55 yards on 15 carries.
