Hawks Live Sports Network to continue with boys basketball

MLTnews.com announced today that it will continue its partnership with Mountlake Terrace High School’s broadcast and journalism programs and produce live broadcasts of MTHS boys basketball games that can be watched by anyone with an Internet connection.

Shoreline Community College is the presenting sponsor for the Hawks Live Sports Network, which is available through MLTnews.com and the MTHS Hawkeye. A percentage of all Hawks Live Sports Network advertising profits will benefit the Mountlake Terrace High School Sports Booster Club. Other advertising sponsors include Sorelli Pizza, HomeStreet Bank and Action Jackson Plumbing.

First launched during the 2012 football season, Hawks Live Sports Network will extend its sports coverage to Mountlake Terrace High School boys basketball games. The 2012-13 season tips off at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Edmonds-Woodway High School in a preseason game against the Warriors.

Both home and away games will be webcast through the following URL: mltnews.com/hawk-live-sports-network. Not only are the games covered live, but they are also archived for later watching.

Continuing the play-by-play for the Hawks Live Sports Network broadcasts is MTHS alumnus Steve Willits. During the Tuesday night game, Willits will be joined by Keith Nealey, the voice of Warrior Radio, in a joint broadcast involving announcers for both schools. Nealey, an Edmonds-Woodway parent and television broadcast engineer, has been covering EWHS sporting events via the livestreamed Warrior Radio since fall 2011.

The pregame show will be broadcast approximately 10 minutes prior to each boys game on the schedule and will include an interview with MTHS coaches and a look at the upcoming game match-ups. The halftime show presented by Edmonds Sports Academy will feature a wrap up of the first half and interviews with special guests.
