The Mountlake Terrace girls volleyball team made quick work of an outmatched Lynnwood squad and improved their record to 4-0 with an easy victory over the Royals on Thursday, 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-16).
“The girls played great,” said Coach Marietta Snyder after the match. “They were on their game.”
Junior Madison Eich led the team with 19 kills. “Madison played really, really smart,” Snyder said. “She didn’t necessarily hit hard tonight, but she knew where to put the ball.”
Snyder also highlighted the play of setters senior Casey Hynes and junior Justine Kelly. “I’m a pretty lucky coach to have two good setters,” she said. “Other coaches would be satisfied with one, but we’ve got two.”
The Hawks will try for a fifth straight win next Tuesday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Edmonds-Woodway to face the Warriors in a 7 p.m. match.
