Three Mountlake Terrace Hawks are still alive after the first day of the 3A South Division Tournament for girls tennis taking place at Glacier Peak High School. The doubles team of Nikki Bouche and Tina Liu won twice on Tuesday, while singles player Allison Lorraine won her secondround match after an initial defeat earlier in the day.
Competition continues at Glacier Peak on Wednesday as the top four individuals in singles and the top four doubles’ teams move on to the 3A District 1 Tournament slated for May 14-16 at Stanwood High School.

Singles: Mia Selin (Glacier Peak) defeated Allison Lorraine (MTHS) 6-2, 6-2; Lorraine defeated Tea Nikolic (Meadowdale) 6-1, 6-0; Grace Huang (Meadowdale) defeated Aysha Raza (MTHS) 6-1, 4-6, 7-5
