Mountlake Terrace High School senior Greg Bowman has been named to the 3A roster for the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (WIBCA) 3A vs. 4A all-star game, scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at Eastside Catholic High School in Bellevue.

The match-up between top 3A and 4A players in the state will tip off at 6 p.m. and will be the nightcap of a triple header. The game will follow tilts between 1B and 2B all-stars at 2 p.m. and 1A versus 2A all-stars at 4 p.m.

Bowman, a four-year participant in the MTHS basketball program, averaged 18.3 points per game for the Hawks during the 2013-2014 season. Terrace finished with a record of 17-8 this year and was regular season co-champions of the Wesco 3A South Conference.

Terrace Head Coach Nalin Sood is understandably proud of Bowman’s selection to the WIBCA 3A all-star squad. “This is a pretty talented group, so for Greg to be selected is a great honor and reflective of the season and career he has had,” Sood said.

Other Wesco League players scheduled to participate on Saturday are Josh Thayer of Stanwood and Dan Kingma of Jackson.
Proceeds from the all-star games will go to support the many opportunities that the WIBCA hosts for prep basketball athletes to display their skills in special games and events. The coaches association also conducts various basketball clinics around the state and an annual Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony. Sood is a member of the WIBCA Executive Board.

Tickets for the slate of all-star games on Saturday are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and high school students. Doors open for the event at 1 p.m.
