The Mountlake Terrace Hawks baseball season ended Saturday with a 9-8 loss to Glacier Peak, just one game shy of the state tournament.

Terrace had a 5 run lead, 7-2, going in to the 5th inning of the loser-out 3A District 1 playoff game. A 5-run fifth inning and 2-run sixth inning for Glacier Peak put them ahead 9-7. Terrace would score one more run but it wouldn’t be enough.

The Hawks end their season 13-11.
