Edmonds police are investigating a report by a man who said he was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning after accepting a ride from the 7-11 store parking lot in the 23800 block of Highway 99.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley, the victim initially reported he was getting a ride home around 2:44 a.m.,Tuesday when the driver pointed a gun at him and demanded money. “The victim later changed their story and admitted that he had previously bought drugs from the suspect and there was a dispute over $100 in money owed,” Hawley said.
According to police, the victim said that after accepting a ride from the suspect, the driver pulled over on 238th Street Southwest. Another man then came out of the bushes, pointing a gun at the victim. The two suspects took the victim’s money and left in the vehicle, described as a black truck, unknown make/model.
Seems to me the victim should have a better description of the drug suspect.
