At the end of a hard day, everyone could use a good laugh. So a comedy night will be coming to Sound Check Bar and Grill once a month.

The first event is set for Wednesday, April 13. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10 if you preorder online or $15 at the door.

Seattle-based comedian Jeremy Horn will host the event. He is also a writer and performer for the new sketch comedy show Up Late Northwest with Pat & Chris Cashman, which airs after Saturday Night Live in the Seattle area.

Headlining next month’s event is Drew Barth, a Seattle native who was a finalist in a Seattle International Comedy Competition. According to his Facebook page, he spent some time working in Los Angeles but has since returned to Seattle. Also performing are comedians Brett Hamil, Kelly Hannah and Amani Taylor.
