Happening nearby: Man stabbed in fight at Edmonds bar

MyNNN-Logo-w-AllA 35-year-old man was stabbed in the parking lot of the Channel Marker Pub and Grill early Thursday morning, according to Edmonds Police.

Police responded to a report of an assault and possible stabbing at the Channel Marker bar, 170 Sunset Avenue at 1:32 a.m., Jan. 1. Upon arrival, officers found the male victim who had been stabbed in the abdomen.

The man was treated at the scene by medics before being transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he is currently in stable condition.

Officers determined that the incident had taken place in the parking lot before the suspect fled the scene. Detectives are continuing the investigation and are interviewing people who they believe to be involved. They are also reviewing video surveillance to see what assistance it can provide to the investigation. This does not appear to be a random attack and there is no immediate threat to the community.
