Lynnwood-based Playdate Cafe will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with a special birthday party on Monday, Jan. 27.
The 8,500-square foot play cafe for “little ones and their favorite grown-ups”, located in Lynnwood, will be having a party starting at 11:30 a.m. Playdate Preschool students will be singing “happy birthday” and then there will be music and balloons for the children. Free treats and punch will be served. Regular play admission gets you into the celebration.
To date, Playdate Cafe has sold 18,500 daily play admissions, hosted 158 birthday parties, started a weekday morning preschool class, held enrichment classes (dance, art, science) and entertained children and adults with special holiday events (Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween and Christmas).
Playdate Cafe was ranked in the top 5 Best Kids menu in the 2013 King5 Best of Western Washington awards and won the 2013 Red Tricycle Seattle Award for Most Awesome Indoor Playspace. The cafe employs 14 full-time and part-time staff.
