Edmonds in Bloom will host its annual awards reception on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The event honors Garden Competition winners and entrants, Garden Tour hosts and scores of volunteers who lend their expertise in presenting colorful garden events.
Renowned garden writer Valerie Easton will be the featured speaker on the topic of “Plant Lust and Its Repercussions.” She is the author of five gardening books and writes a weekly garden column in The Seattle Times’ Pacific Magazine showcasing the region’s most creative gardens and homes.
The drawing for the summer raffle will take place at the event. The bounty of garden-themed prizes includes private garden tours, Edmonds entertainment and dining, garden décor and more. Raffle proceeds provide funds to support Edmonds in Bloom projects that beautify our community.
