Edmonds Community College partnered with United Way to provide free help for U.S. citizens and residents.

Confidential tax return preparation is offered on a drop-in basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7:30 p.m. and Fridays from 2-5:30 p.m. in Mountlake Terrace Hall 212 on the Edmonds CC campus, located at 20000 68th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. Volunteers have been there for a couple of weeks now and will continue to be there until April 16.

Volunteers have been trained according to the IRS training guidelines and are IRS certified to provide confidential tax preparation to qualified taxpayers.

If you drop in for tax return help, you will need to bring:

  • A copy of last year’s tax return (if available)

  • Picture ID (required)

  • Social security cards for all persons claimed on the tax return

  • W-2 forms, 1099, and 1098 forms

  • Unemployment compensation statements

  • Child care expenses (including provider name, address and employer number)

  • Information for college expenses

All tax forms will be provided.

Last year, more than 600 campus and community members filed their taxes with help from Edmonds Community College.
