Happening nearby: Free health screenings, mammograms at May 16 at Edmonds Stadium

Health__Fitness_Expo_logo362x94Community partners and local businesses are coming together to promote health and fitness at the 3rd Annual Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 16, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Edmonds School District Stadium located at 7600 212th St S.W. in Edmonds.

New additions to this year’s event include the Middle School Invitational Run, Children’s Gardening, the PCC TasteMobile, a bike blender, free health screenings provided by Community Health Centers of Snohomish County, and mammograms provided by Swedish Breast Care Express, a mobile self-contained trailer that features the latest in full-field digital mammography equipment.

To qualify for a free mammogram, call 1-888-651-8931 if you are not insured. If you are interested in getting a mammogram and have insurance, please bring your insurance information.

The expo is open to the public and will include over 45 interactive health and wellness booths, healthy recipes, healthy snack samples, a bike blender and plenty of opportunities to be active in the obstacle course, Kids Fun Run, the expanded bike rodeo, the Active Zone, sports clinics and the NEOS Power Playsystem.
