The Edmonds Police Department is continuing its investigation into a home invasion robbery that occurred in downtown Edmonds June 15, and on Wednesday released a composite sketch of one of the suspects.
The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male approximately 45-50 years old. He is about 5-foot-7 and around 220 pounds. He is described as having a large “pot” belly.
“While the family is still requesting privacy, we are actively investigation this case and following leads. We have developed other persons of interest and ask anyone with information to come forward.” Detective Andy Mehl said.
Detectives have ongoing efforts to identify a white SUV seen in the area before the robbery. It was described as being “boxy,” possibly a Jeep Cherokee or Land Rover. Two men were seen getting out of the vehicle in the area around the time of the robbery and walking towards the victim’s residence.
Two men were seen in the vehicle. The driver was a white male, 40-50 years old. He had brown hair and was wearing a dress shirt.
The passenger was a white male, 30-40 years of age. He had longer, black curly hair. He was wearing a blue and black plaid shirt.
They were seen walking from the area, back to the SUV carrying a tube (similar to what large paperwork such as blueprints would be stored in) and a small, black leather-type pouch.
Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 425-771-0212 or leave information via the police department website.
