Happening nearby: Car-vs. pedestrian crash shuts down Highway 99 northbound at 238th

EPDpatchHighway 99 northbound was shut down following a car-pedestrian crash in the 23800 block at 9 p.m. Friday.

Edmonds police said the pedestrian was a man of unknown age who has not yet been identified. He was taken to Harborview with a head injury.The driver was a woman from Everett in her 30s, police said. The driver stayed at the scene of the crash and alcohol was not a factor.

Police said the highway would be shut down from the King-Snohomish County line to 238th Street Southwest “for several hours” while the incident is being investigated.
