The Emergency Services Coordinating Agency (ESCA) is offering a ham radio Extra License course beginning on Tuesday, March 11, running on seven consecutive Tuesdays through April 22. The classes are intended to prepare those already holding Technician and General License for the Extra License exam.
For those who are interested in gaining the beginner-level amateur radio license, the ESCA will offer courses to prepare attendees for the Technician License exam beginning on Monday, March 31, and running for seven consecutive Mondays.
Both courses will be held at Brier City Hall, 2901-228th St. S.W., from 7-9 p.m. on class nights. There is no charge for the courses; the required Extra or Technician class book will be available at discounted prices of $25.
The classes prelude a Federal Communications Commission exam opportunity for the Extra License or the Technician License scheduled for May 19.
