Graffiti Along 44th Ave W

An MLTnews reader, Carol, sent us some photos of a recent string of graffitti along 44th Ave W. She says that it’s everywhere between 236th St. SW and QFC and even some down in Terrace Creek Park (Candy Cane Park).

Graffiti doesn’t seem to be a huge problem in Mountlake Terrace. I see it occasionally in the Town Center neighborhood on some of the vacant buildings and also down on the Interurban Trail but the East side of town usually stays pretty clean.

  1. April 27 article in Seattle Times: Shoreline police caught 35-year old Tony Huy Lee and accuse him of spray painting the tag “Kidd” and “K-D” over three years. We’ve seen that one all over. Currently it’s in two places on the Interurban Trail near the substation. Police say that tag has caused $7,000 in damage. If convicted, he should pay 3-fold, garnished from his wages where ever he goes. The government no longer has the budget to paint it out.
