
Thursday night, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks beat the Stanwood Spartans 3-0 in a loser-out 3A girl’s soccer playoff game at Edmonds Stadium.
Senior Maddy Kristjanson scored first from a free kick from 20 yards out, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
Junior Lily Hart would close out the first half with her first goal of the night, giving Terrace a 2-0 lead at the half.
To put the T-Birds out of reach, Hart would knock in another goal in the second half, securing a 3-0 victory for the Hawks.
“The first half was a major factor … It was great to build an early lead,” Head Coach Evan Hatch said. “We need to be ready for a physical game on Saturday,” he added.
Next game for Terrace is this Saturday Nov. 9 against Marysville-Pilchuck at Shoreline Stadium, at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to the 3A state tournament.
