Get support for managing your diabetes at Nov. 20 Verdant event

Navigating Diabetes Today is a free new program to support individuals living with diabetes. Join the Verdant Health Commission on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. for a session in the teaching kitchen or a presentation by a health professional to learn up-to-date information about diabetes and strategies for better blood sugar control.

Topics and dates for the coming months include:

  • Diabetes-friendly Holiday Recipes Cooking Demo on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Managing Stress Over the Holidays and Every Day on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Diabetes Goals for the New Year on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Diabetes & Heart Health in the Kitchen Cooking Demo on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020 from 6-7:30 p.m.

All sessions take place at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St. S.W. in Lynnwood. Registration is required. To register for this free program, visit verdanthealth.org/events or call 425-582-8600.

Please note: Navigating Diabetes Today sessions are only for individuals with a diabetes diagnosis, not pre-diabetes or at risk of developing diabetes. A support person is welcome to register with the individual with diabetes.
