A ballot measure to raise sales tax in Snohomish County by 0.2 percent for public safety is still failing Wednesday, but the margin has narrowed.
As of Wednesday evening, 50.46 percent of votes reject the measure, compared to 50.65 percent on Tuesday. So far, 71,761 ballots have been counted in the county.
The next results update is expected to be released after 5 p.m. on Thursday.
