The Locust Way Bridge project has faced further delays, thanks to rainy weather when concrete was scheduled to be poured.

Now, Locust Way Bridge 504 is scheduled to be re-opened to traffic on Monday, Dec. 5. However, traffic on the bridge may be restricted to one lane intermittently during the day for two weeks after the bridge is opened.

Due to record rainfall in the month of October, construction was delayed as crews had to wait for dry days to pour concrete and place backfill material.

According to Snohomish County Public Works, the hired off-duty police officer will continue to direct traffic during the morning and afternoon commutes at the intersection of Carter Road and Lockwood road for the duration of the project, Monday through Friday.
