A fruit and vegetable stand is planned here, City of Lynnwood officials say.

After time spent as a coffee stand, bikini and fully-clothed, then years standing vacant, it appears a building at the corner of 212th Street Southwest and 44th Avenue West is being converted back into a business of its past, a fruit and vegetable stand.

City of Lynnwood officials confirmed on Monday that building permits had been filed for the site at 21126-44th Ave. W., but no business license had been purchased yet. Officials in the city’s licensing department did say they believe a business license would be issued soon for a fruit and vegetable stand at that address.

Although nearly surrounded by Mountlake Terrace to its west, south and east, the site of the building on the northwest corner of 212th Street Southwest and 44th Avenue West is actually in the city limits of Lynnwood, so all permitting and licensing for the new enterprise is done within that jurisdiction.

  1. Shame. I’m afraid it’ll fair no better than last time. How to keep fresh produce with minimal traffic? The waste will drive up costs way beyond Albertsons.
