Three South Snohomish County churches are offering opportunities for connecting with others and enjoying a free Thanksgiving meal during the holiday week.
Bethesda Lutheran Church in Mountlake Terrace regular serves a community dinner on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The Monday, Nov. 25, meal will be a Thanksgiving dinner. Food service is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Calvary Fellowship in Mountlake Terrace is opening its doors on Thanksgiving Day for a time of watching football on TV, playing board games, and sharing time with others. AThanksgiving dinner will be served at 2:30 p.m. with attendees encouraged, but not required, to add to the feast with a side dish.
Westgate Chapel in Edmonds regularly offers one of the largest free Thanksgiving community meals in the area. The church expects to serve about 1,400 meals this year, the 25th anniversary of the event. Meals are set to be served at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
