Seattle Tae Kwon Do, in conjunction with the Seattle Chapter of the FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, is offering a free identity theft presentation on October 23th.
What is identity theft? Identity theft occurs when someone uses the personal information of another (i.e., name, date of birth, social security number, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, etc.), fraudulently and without permission. Criminals usually do this to obtain money or goods and services, but identity theft is also involves obtaining false drivers’ licenses, birth certificates, social security numbers.
To learn more about how you can safeguard yourself and your family from being an identity theft victim attend this free presentation from 1:00pm to 2:30pm on October 23. Master Brandon Richards of Seattle Tae Kwon Do recently graduated the FBI Citizen’s Acedemy and says that he is working with the FBI to bring more free community service events to Mountlake Terrace in the future.
