Free family event at the Mountlake Terrace pool in April

City officials invite residents to prepare for safe fun over summer by attending April Pools Day on Saturday, April 16.

A safety fair in the lobby runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion pool, located at 5303 228th Street Southwest. Pool activities will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Families can learn how to be safe in the water during all kids of activities as well as proper life jacket use. The City of Mountlake Terrace is teaming up with Swedish Edmonds Hospital, Edmonds Family Medicine and the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Department to promote swimming safety and swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Participants who complete the water stations from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.will earn a free pass to the 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Recreation Swim at the Mountlake Terrace pool. There will be a raffle for a set of swim lessons, life jackets and other prizes.
