Free computer classes at MLT Library starting Sept. 11

The Mountlake Terrace Library is now accepting registrations for a series of free computer classes that start Sept. 11 and are aimed for the beginner or intermediate computer user.  Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.

These computer classes will teach participants to use a mouse, the basics of the Internet, how to use email and Google effectively, finding job hunting opportunities on the Internet, and how to use Microsoft Word.

These popular classes fill up fast so contact the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300-58th Ave. W., in person or by phone at 425-776-8722 to register.

Following is the series’ schedule (all classes begin at 8:30 a.m.):

Beginners’ Series: ?Computer Basics I / Sept. 11, Oct. 13, Nov. 27
Mouse and navigation skills.

Internet Basics / Sept. 22, Nov. 6, Dec. 4
Learn how to find what you need on the Internet.?(Mouse skills required)

Intermediate Series:?Computer Basics II / Oct. 2, Nov. 17
Learn how to copy, paste, send attachments and a wealth of other basic functions. (Mouse and Internet skills or “Computer Basics I” and “Internet Basics” classes required)

Using Your Email Account / Oct. 20
Learn how to get the most out of your email account. Must have an email account you can access remotely with login and password.?(Mouse, Internet skills, and current e-mail account required)

Getting the Most Out of Google / Oct. 9, Nov. 10, Dec. 18
Learn about the many features, services and tools available from Google.?(Mouse and Internet skills required)

Job Hunting on the Internet / Oct. 30
Find out what is available on the Internet to help you with your job search.?(Mouse and Internet skills required)

Getting Started with Microsoft Word / Oct. 16, Dec. 8
Learn the basics of this popular word processing software. ?(Mouse and Internet skills required)
