Hi there, I am a new reader to your blog but I have found it very informational so far!! I've lived in MLT for nearly 11 years. I really appreciate learning about new things that are going on in the city on such a regular basis. Keep up the good work!
gosh, I hope I am eligible even though I live in Shoreline :)My 3 year old daughter attends weekly gymnastics classes at Cascade Elite Gymnastics, and that really is what started my experience with any business or restaurant in MLT.After Gymnastics we stop at Espresso Break, which is just kitty corner next to the gas station and the church, same parking lot as Double D Meats! Espresso Break uses espresso beans that taste fantastic, not burnt like Starbucks. They also carry Yoguccino, a yogurt-based product they make smoothies with. If you go, get a berry Yoguccino made with fresh berries – you won't be disappointed.I know Dustin talks about Red Onion, and if I remember right, it's the newly remodeled restaurant just by Espresso break. Next Saturday I'm going to try and convince my 3 year old we need to stop by there – on Dustin's recommendation of course :)So, I'm REALLY looking forward to going to Cinebarre someday soon. My wife and I could use a night out, and we just love the dinner theater idea! Our first experience with a dinner movie theater was down in Vancouver, WA with Cinetopia. Fantastic place.wow, I wrote more than I thought I would.
Jenny,Thanks for reading MLTnews and commenting. I'm glad you've found our posts to be helpful. Though I grew up in Shoreline I've inly lived in MLT for about15 months since buying a house here. I would love some input from someone who's lived here much longer. If you ever have anything you'd like to write about or would like to see us write about, please feel free to let us know.
I did consider responding the other day when you asked for writers, specifically calling out DD meats (which I frequent nearly weekly) but I don't really consider myself much of a writer…
great website MLT, love the theme. Cinebarre is AWESOME, it's like they read my mind and made a theater. As a local film reviewer, it's perfect. Wait… maybe the ARE reading my mind. I'm not sure I like it any more. I'm getting my foil hat right now. No, I didn't think that. It wasn't me. Stop it!
I'd gone to the Mountlake 9 dozens of times over the years. I'm looking forward to checking out the Cinebarre.
been in MLT for 2.5 years, never been to cinnebarre but I used to go to ML9
As someone who used to live in Mountlake Terrace and may possibly move back in the next few years, I really enjoy your website. My wife would love to check out Cinebarre (okay, me too). See you later, brother!
Did I mention that family members are disqualified? It's in the fine print I think. 🙂

It’s a great place for date night with your wife. Good food, good drinks and a nice atmosphere (well as nice a s movie theater can be)
I remember going to the Mountlake 9 frequently in high school. Can't wait to check out Cinebarre!

@Harlemanic I heard they were originally going to name it “The Harleman”. Or was it “The Harlebarre.” Can’t remember.

@muzach My favorite difference between ML9 and Cinebarre: the neon tube lights are gone.
That was probably the first jolting difference I noticed. It looks much less like a shifty roadside motel now.
I don't see any fine print.
It's extremely fine. Not viewable by the human eye.

Hi Dustin! I follow you on Twitter; your blog is a great inspiration to those of us working on the Ronald Bog Blog. :)Sonya(@sonya)

I'm new to MLTnews.com, and actually found my way here a few weeks back by way of looking for news on the Cinebarre's opening. Loving both so far. I technically don't live *in* MLT (I'm a short ways north in Lynnwood) but I went to Terrace high and have spent plenty of time in MLT over my 23 years.I'm eager to see plenty of reviews here, because MLT is full of cool little places that hardly anyone seems to know about. Hopefully, if the Cinebarre can prove to be viable, it will attract more non-natives to the area and boost the customer base for these places.

Though I live in Bothell, I drove through MLT last week and have been to ML9 many times. So I figure that qualifies me. Love the idea of the Cinebarre and can't wait to check it out.

We’re all new to MLTnews since it’s actually only been around for about a month now. Cinebarre does seem to be the one thing right now that may draw a lot of people to the area, even if it only be for an evening. Let me know if you have any post ideas or would like to contribute at all.

I've lived in MLT a little over three years now. I just found this website yesterday actually and have spent a number of hours (literally) reading all the articles, happenings, news and other posts. I love it! I wish I would have found this site sooner. I haven't been to Cinebarre yet but I plan on going soon, whether or not I get drawn for the free tickets. Also on my list to check out is The Red Onion, I hear it's great. 🙂

I don't live in MLT anymore, but did for 3 years, my best friend lives there, and I might be moving back. I just went to the Cinnebarre for the first time last night and had a blast! The police chase went right by us as we were walking back to her house! Best restaruaunt in MLT is Voula's. Get the chicken Gyro and strawberry-rhubarb pie. Mmmm.

Great, We've heard about this. It's the Old Mountlake 9 right? Love to have tickets and get away from the kids.
Yes, it is the old Mountlake 9. They've done a great job fixing the place up.

Hey there! So I went to Cinebarre on Friday. We were there to see Harry Potter, I didn't read the fine print on the tickets so I was unable to use them this time. (can only be used for movies that have been out more than 2 weeks) That just means I have to go back! It's really an enjoyable experience, I would definitely go back, even if I didn't have free tickets… Thanks again!
I guess I didn't look at the fine print either. Sorry about that. At least now you get to go again!
