Mountlake Terrace was well-represented in the final results of the 2013 KING 5 Best of Western Washington voting, as four local businesses took the top prize in their respective categories.

Double DD Meats, 5602-232nd St. S.W., No. 104, won the Best Butcher category for the fifth straight year. The business has one of the longest current winning streaks in the Best of Western Washington poll.

Winner of the Best Movie Theater was Cinebarre, 6009-244th St. S.W. It was the third year in a row that the Mountlake Terrace movie theater has been named the top vote-getter in the category.

The Gem Garden, a jewelry boutique located at 22725-44th Ave. W. No. 201, took home first place in both the Best Designer Jewelry and Best Women’s Accessories categories. It was their third straight win for Best Women’s Accessories, and the first lone win in Best Designer Jewelry after sharing the top spot last year.

Seattle Tae Kwon Do, 22803-44th Ave. W., which had been a runner-up in the Best Martial Arts category in 2011 and 2012, this year was the top vote-getter among 156 nominees in the category.

In the Best Cakes category, Fantazmal Cakes, 4606-242nd Street SW, finished in third place.

Approximately 508,000 online votes were cast in the poll, conducted by KING 5 Television in Seattle. There were a total of 218 winners among more than 21,000 nominees in the poll. You can view all the category results here
