Former Mountlake Terrace baseball standout recovering after blood clot removal surgery

Mountlake Terrace graduate Brandon Choate, who was a senior pitcher for the University of Washington baseball team this season, provided an update on a medical condition via his Twitter account.

Choate had a blood clot in his right shoulder caused by overuse. The doctors removed it and Choate expects to leave the hospital today. Up next is the rib removal. Choate said that “everything is looking positive from here on out.”
