Fire Station 19 Artwork Unveiling

After a very rainy morning on Saturday the weather cleared up just in time for the artwork unveiling at Fire Station 19 in Mountlake Terrace. There were about 50 in attendance at the combined artwork unveiling and fire station open house, including mayor Jerry Smith and city council members Rick Ryan, Kyoko Wright and Jon Zambrano. Mayor Jerry Smith and Arts Advisory Commission chair Judy Ryan spoke breifly and the artist, Louise McDowell (who we highlighted previously) introduced the sculpture by explaining the meaning.

The Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums band played twice during the ceremony.
