Fire District 1 fire calls, week of Feb. 21-27

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 335 calls the week of Feb. 21-27: 272 emergency medical aid calls, 19 motor vehicle collisions, 15 fires, 13 service calls, 4 natural gas leaks and 12 automatic fire alarms.

Feb. 21?
COLLISION: At 6:31 p.m., a two-car collision occurred on the 128th Street Southwest exit from northbound I-5 south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

Feb. 22?
WALL FIRE:  At 11:35 a.m., firefighters responded to a small fire at a house in the 2300 block of Center Road south of Everett. A small section of siding was damaged, but flames did not extend to the interior wall. Investigators determined that the fire was started by a hot fireplace flue. Damage is estimated at $10,000.

COLLISION:  At 6:55 p.m., a five-car collision was reported in the 3300 block of 196th Place SW north of Lynnwood.  Firefighters transported three patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Feb. 24
FIRE: At 1:26 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in an abandoned mobile home in the 12100 block of First Drive Southeast south of Everett. Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. The mobile home was destroyed.

COLLISION: At 4:51 p.m., a vehicle stuck a parked car and drove into a ditch in the 3320 block of 120th Street Southeast south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Feb. 25?
COLLISION: At 4 p.m., a two-car, rear-end collision was reported on the 164th Street SW exit ramp from northbound I-5. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Feb. 26?
KITCHEN FIRE: At 3:21 p.m., a fire in a microwave caused $10,000 damage at a home in the 900 block of 149th Place Southwest northeast of Lynnwood.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and damage was contained to the kitchen.

PORCH FIRE: At 9:35 p.m., firefighters responded to a small fire on the back porch of a home near 3rd Avenue North and Sater Lane in Edmonds. No injuries were reported.
