Fire District 1 fire calls, Sept. 29-Oct. 12

Fire-District-1-logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 999 calls Sept. 29-Oct. 12: 776 emergency medical aid calls, 73 motor vehicle collisions, 46 fires, 35 service calls, 8 natural gas leaks, 1 hazardous materials call, 3 rescues and 57 automatic fire alarms.

Sept. 29
RESCUE: At 2:24 p.m., firefighters rescued a woman who fell down an embankment while doing yard work in the 9100 block of 196th Street Southwest in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the woman to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Oct. 2
HEDGE FIRE: At 5:41 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a row of hedges in the 700 block of Melody Lane in Edmonds.

Oct. 3
COLLISION: At 5:16 a.m., a car struck a utility pole and the engine caught fire at 195th Street Southwest and 76th Avenue West in Edmonds. Firefighters extinguished the fire and transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 5:27 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at the corner of 4th Avenue West and 112th Street Southwest south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to an area hospital.

Oct. 4
COLLISION: At 9:38 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at the corner of 148th Street Southwest and 35th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to an area hospital.

Oct. 5
COLLISION: At 12:41 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 10th Avenue West and Center Road south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Oct. 7
COLLISION: At 10:37 a.m., a car and a bus collided in the 12700 block of Beverly Park Road north of Lynnwood. No one on the bus was injured. Firefighters transported the driver of the car to an area hospital.

DRYER FIRE: At 9:27 p.m., firefighters extinguished a clothes dryer fire at an apartment in the 23100 block of 44th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. No one was injured. Damage was contained to the laundry room.

Oct. 9
COLLISION: At 6:13 a.m., a single car was involved in a collision on northbound I-5 at I-405 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the injured driver to an area hospital.

Oct. 12
CAR FIRE: At 10:17 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire in the 900 block of 112th Street Southwest south of Everett. No one was injured.
