Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 391 calls the week of May 29-June 4: 310 emergency medical aid calls, 22 motor vehicle collisions, 23 fires, 11 service calls, 3 natural gas leaks, one hazardous materials response and 21 automatic fire alarms.
May 30
COLLISION: At 5:47 p.m., firefighters responded to a report that a vehicle drove into a house in the 5400 block of 218th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. The house was damaged, but determined to be structurally sound. No one was injured.
June 2
COLLISION: At 4:47 p.m., firefighters responded to southbound I-5 after a car crashed into a barrier wall south of 220th St. SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
June 3
HEATER FIRE: At 10:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a wall heater at an apartment in the 3200 block of 132nd Street SE east for Everett. The fire was contained to the heater. No one was injured.
COLLISION: At 4:51 p.m., a three- car collision was reported on northbound I-5 on the exit ramp to 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported two patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
June 4
SMOKE FROM FURNACE: At 6:02 a.m., residents reported their smoke alarms were sounding and there was smoke inside their house in the 22800 block of 27th Avenue West in Brier. Firefighters determined there was no fire, just smoke from a faulty furnace.
