Fire District 1 fire calls, June 13-19

Fire District 1Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 389 calls the week of June 13-19: 302 emergency medical aid calls, 24 motor vehicle collisions, 29 fires, 20 service calls and 14 automatic fire alarms.

June 13
CAR FIRE: At 9:36 a.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire in the 12400 block of East Gibson Road south of Everett.
COLLISION: At 1:06 p.m., a three-car collision was reported at 203rd Street Southwest and Popular Way North east of Lynnwood.  Firefighters transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital.
COLLISION: At 1:22 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 15000 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 1:23 p.m., a car struck a fence at 128th Street Southwest and I-5 south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured driver to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 14
COLLISION: At 11:53 a.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 12000 block of 35th Avenue Southeast east of Everett. Two patients were transported to area hospitals.
CAR FIRE: At 12:15 p.m., smoke was visible four miles away from a car fire in the 14800 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and called the Snohomish County Fire Marshal to investigate the cause.

June 15
COLLISION: At 10:59 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at Edmonds Way and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
MICROWAVE OVEN FIRE:  At 2:36 p.m., a small kitchen fire was reported at a home in the 3500 block of 101st Street Southeast east of Everett. The fire was contained to the microwave oven. Firefighters cleared smoke from the house using fans.  No one was injured.
COLLISION: At 10:29 p.m., a small truck hit the guardrail and rolled over on northbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported four patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

June 16
SUICIDE ATTEMPT: At 6 a.m., police requested a ladder truck and medic unit to support them in the rescue of a man who threatened to jump from an overpass at 124th Street SW onto I-5 below. Law enforcement officers talked the man into returning to the walkway and he was transported by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
GARAGE FIRE: At 11:10 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a detached garage at a home in the 3900 block of 147th Street Southwest north of Lynnwood. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.

June 18
BRUSH FIRE: At 3:54 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the 700 block of 170th Street SW north of Lynnwood.
COLLISION: At 5:58 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 400 block of 164th Street Southeast north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 19
COLLISION: At 7:50 a.m., a four-car collision was reported on southbound I-5 at 236th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.  Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 9:23 a.m., a car struck a pedestrian at 3rd Avenue North and Edmonds Street in Edmonds.  The injured pedestrian was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 2:36 p.m., a car struck a child on a bicycle at 222nd Street Southwest and 66th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace.  The child was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
BRUSH FIRE:  At 9:16 p.m., firefighters extinguished a small brush fire in the 6700 block of Norma Beach Road north of Edmonds.  Firefighters discovered evidence of fireworks use in the area.
