Fire District 1 fire calls, Jan. 2-8

Fire District 1Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 350 calls the week of Jan. 2-8: 295 emergency medical aid calls, 23 motor vehicle collisions, nine fires, five service calls, two gas leaks and 16 automatic fire alarms.

January 2
COLLISION: At 3:59 p.m., a three-car collision was reported in the 4200 block of 132nd Street SE south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

January 3
COLLISION AND GAS LEAK: At 1:21 p.m., firefighters responded to the 400 block of 2nd Avenue N in Edmonds after a parked sport utility vehicle towing a boat rolled down a driveway, crashed into a shed and damaged a natural gas line. No one was injured.

January 7
FIRE: At 2:27 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire in an office in the 12400 block of Highway 99 south of Everett. The fire was contained to the contents of the office and did not damage the structure. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was started by a space heater that was too close to an office chair. Damage is estimated at $8,000.
COLLISION: At 5:41 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 16100 block of Ash Way north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

January 8
COLLISION: At 5:12 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at the intersection of 238th Street SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
