Fire District 1 fire calls: Dec. 31-Jan. 6

Fire-District-1 Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 492 calls Dec. 31 through Jan. 6:  401 emergency medical aid calls, 34 motor vehicle collisions, 17 fires, 12 service calls, six natural gas leaks and 22 automatic fire alarms.

Dec. 31

DUMPSTER FIRE:  At 2:06 p.m., firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire in the 600 block of Center Road south of Everett.

Jan. 1

COLLISION:  At 8:47 a.m., a car crashed into a drainage culvert in the 21600 block of Highway 99. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Jan. 3

COLLISION:  At 7:21 p.m., a car crashed into a ditch at 221st Place SW and 84th Avenue W in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Jan. 5

TRUCK FIRE:  At 4:24 a.m., firefighters extinguished a truck fire in the 6200 block of 215th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.  No one was in the vehicle at the time and no one was injured.

COLLISION:  At 10:08 a.m., a three-car collision occurred on southbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported two patients to an area hospital.

Jan. 6

FIRE:  At 9:15 p.m., firefighters extinguished 20-foot by 20-foot rubbish and brush fire in the 1600 block of Center Road south of Everett.  No one was injured.
