Fire District 1 calls: May 19-25

Fire-District-1-logo-2Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 454 calls May 19-25: 366 emergency medical aid calls, 37 motor vehicle collisions, 19 fires, 12 service calls, 4 natural gas leaks and 16 automatic fire alarms.

May 19
FIRE:  At 8:21 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the 6000 block of 244th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. No one was injured.

May 22
COLLISION:  At 2:32 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 13500 block of Highway 99 south of Everett.  Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

May 23
COLLISION:  At 11:21 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at 220th Street SW and 84th Avenue W in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported two patients to area hospitals.

May 25
COLLISION:  At 5:21 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 22200 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace.
