Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 390 calls the week of July 11-17: 294 emergency medical aid calls, 21 motor vehicle collisions, 37 fires, 19 service calls, 1 technical rescue and 18 automatic fire alarms.
July 11
BRUSH FIRE: At 4:08 a.m., firefighters extinguished a brush that extended to a fence at a home 51st Avenue SE and Seattle Hill Road east of Everett.
July 12
DECK FIRE: At 2:42 a.m., firefighters extinguished a deck fire at a home in the 1900 block of 211th Place SW east of Brier. No one was injured.
COLLISION: At 5:54 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car at 149th Place SW and 44th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. The injured pedestrian was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
July 13
BRUSH FIRE: At 1:50 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the block of 13300 54th Avenue SE east of Everett. The cause was believed to be fireworks related.
July 14
HOUSE FIRE: At 11:29 p.m., a house fire was reported in the 14600 block of 62nd Drive SE east of Everett. Firefighters arrived to find most of the fire in the attic space of the garage and flames were through the roof. No injuries were reported.
July 15
COLLISION: At 3:45 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a collision in the 1200 block of 164th Street SW east of Lynnwood.
July 16
BRUSH FIRE: At 11:19 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a tree stump that extended to a detached carport cover and a fence in the backyard of a home in the 23800 block of 60th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. No one was injured.
BRUSH FIRE: At 3:57 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in the woods in the 11600 block of 51st Avenue SE east of Everett. No one was injured. Fireworks debris was seen in the area.
COLLISION: At 8:03 p.m., a two-car, T-bone collision was reported at 164th Street SW and Ash Way north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.
July 17
BRUSH FIRE: At 4:06 a.m., a fire in shrubs was reported at a home in the 1200 block of 147th Place SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters arrived to find the fire had extended to a fence. The fire was extinguished and light smoke was cleared from the house using fans. No one was injured.
COLLISION: At 3:44 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 112th Street SE and Meridian Avenue S south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient with serious injuries to Harborview Medical Center. Another patient was transported by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
