Fire District 1 calls for Dec. 2-8

vSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 379 calls the week of Dec. 2-8: 292 emergency medical aid calls, 24 fires, 22 motor vehicle collisions, 14 service calls, 24 automatic fire alarms, one natural gas leak and two carbon monoxide alarms.

Mountlake Terrace calls are in bold.

December 2

COLLISION. At 5:46 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision in the 3600 block of Larch Way northeast of Mountlake Terrace.

December 3

COLLISION. At 1:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a one-car collision at 236th St. SW and 56th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace. The car rolled and came to rest on its side in some bushes. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.

COLLISION. At 4:02 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision on southbound I-5 north of 196th St. SW.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY A CAR. At 6:41 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car at 3rd Ave. N. and Edmonds Street in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the pedestrian to Swedish/Edmonds.

December 5

DUMPSTER FIRE. At 3:02 p.m., firefighters extinguished a Dumpster fire at an apartment complex in the 12200 block of Airport Road south of Everett.

COLLISION. At 7:14 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a collision in the 500 block of 128thSt. SW south of Everett.

COLLISION. At 11:51 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that rolled and came to rest on its roof on Olympic View Dr. at 180th St. SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.

December 7

HOUSE FIRE. At 2:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a small fire in a house in the 3500 block of 207th Pl. SW north of Brier. The homeowner was the only one in the house at the time of the fire and safely exited. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire quickly and contained the damage to a small area of the living room. Firefighters rescued two guinea pigs. No one was injured. Damage is estimated at $5,000. An investigator with the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the cause of the fire was electrical.

COLLISION. At 6 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital after responding to a two-car collision on southbound I-405 south of I-5.

December 8

COLLISION. At 9:57 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at Admiralty Way and Airport Road south of Everett.

COLLISION. At 12:38 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a fence and took down a power pole in the 19400 block of Damson Rd east of Lynnwood. No one was injured, but Damson Road was closed about 30 minutes while utility crews removed the downed power pole.
