Fire District 1 calls: April 30-May 13

Fire District 1 logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 764 calls April 30 through May 13: 605 emergency medical aid calls, 50 motor vehicle collisions, 37 fires, 33 service calls, 3 natural gas leaks, 2 hazardous materials calls, 2 rescues and 32 automatic fire alarms.

April 30

COLLISION: At 12:49 p.m., a rollover collision involving two cars occurred at 212th Street SW and 52nd Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

May 1

TRUCK FIRE: At 2:17 a.m., firefighters extinguished a truck fire in the 14500 block of Admiralty Way north of Lynnwood.

COLLISION: At 3:07 p.m., a two-car collision occurred at Beverly Park Road and Shelby Road north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

May 2

COLLISION: At 5:08 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at 164th Street SW and 25thAvenue W north of Lynnwood. The injured pedestrian was transported by medic unit to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

May 3

DECK FIRE: At 12:32 p.m., a deck fire was reported at an apartment in the 16600 block of Larch Way. The tenants extinguished the fire and firefighters inspected the building to make sure there was no fire in the wall or ceiling. No one was injured.

May 5

COLLISION: At 5:22 p.m., a car left the road and flipped over in a median on the southbound I-5 exit to I-405. Firefighters transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital.

May 6

COLLISION: At 4:20, there was a two-car collision in the 22200 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 10:59 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 116th Street SW and 43rd Drive SE east of Everett. Firefighters transported two patients to Providence Regional Medical Center.

May 7

COLLISION: At 12:43 p.m., a collision occurred at 212th Street SW and 52ndAvenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

DECK FIRE: At 3:26 p.m., firefighters extinguished a small deck fire at an apartment building in the 16500 block of Larch Way east of Lynnwood.

May 8

CAR FIRE: At 12:23 a.m., a car caught fire on southbound I-5 south of 128thStreet SW in Everett. The driver pulled over to the side of the road and exited the vehicle. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

May 9

COLLISION: At 6:22 a.m., a rollover collision was reported on southbound I-5 south of 220th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. Several cars were involved in the incident. Firefighters transported one patient to Harborview Medical Center.

May 10

COLLISION: At 10:17 a.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 23100 block of 100th Avenue W in Edmonds. Minor damage was reported. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

May 12

COLLISION:  At 12:35 p.m., a two-car T-bone collision occurred in the 21400 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

May 13

SMOKE IN BUILDING:  At 4:04 a.m., firefighters were dispatched for an automatic fire alarm sounding at Edmonds-Woodway High School.The hallway smelled of smoke and firefighters located the source: a malfunctioning exit sign. Damage was contained to the exit sign. No one was injured.

WALL FIRE: At 1:08 p.m., a house fire was reported in the 3220 block of 164thStreet SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters extinguished a small fire contained to a wall.  No one was at home at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

COLLISION: At 7:54 a.m., a multiple car collision was reported on southbound I-405 south of I-5 in Lynnwood. One person was transported to Evergreen Hospital.
