Help Find Junebug, the Missing Rat Terrier (Update: Junebug Has Been Found!)

Junebug & Mommy 003Here’s an update from the owner. If you see a dog wandering in the street, it’s always a good idea to stop and at least call a number on the tag (always approach with caution, of course). If you’re able, take the dog in for a day or two and see if any flyers go up or it is posted here. Who knows, you might make a family’s day like in this case.

Call off the search. A very nice neighbor (3 blocks away) brought her back this afternoon. The neighbor even took her to the pumpkin patch today with their kids before they saw the flyers that I hung up all over the neighborhood. If you felt inclined or are able, you should write something good about this neighborhood and the regular old workin’ folk who have warm hearts and good families.

This is Junebug. She decided to take herself for a walk on Saturday and never made it back home. She was last seen on Saturday, the 24th, around 3 PM near 54th and 216th. The owner’s had just moved a couple doors down and the phone numbers on Junebug’s tags don’t work. If you find or have seen Junebug, please call (425) 835-0549.

  1. We were at the lovely MLT dog park yesterday afternoon and noticed a dog walking along the fence on the outside of the park. He wasn't on a leash and nobody came calling for him. We all agreed to bring him inside the park and take a look at his tags. One woman had a cell phone and another woman read the phone number on the tag out loud to her while she called the owner. The dog had gotten out of the yard and came to the dog park! I was happy to see the community work together to help this sweet dog out. Within minutes the owner was at the park thanking everyone.I love this newsblog and appreciate the kindness you spotlight through these kinds of stories!

  2. Great story. I think I will post this story as well for some encouragement to people to keep it up. This happened to me a while back as well. I saw a dog walking down the street. Called the number and he had gotten out. They cam and picked him up. I'm doing my darndest to make sure there are no more lost dogs in MLT.
