Fourth- through sixth- grade Intermediate Intensive Support students from Mountlake Terrace Elementary School were among the first to try out newly-installed playground equipment at Evergreen Playfield on May 30. Although some minor turf landscaping still needs to be completed around the perimeter of the area, city crews have opened the playground for use. The new playground equipment was purchased with a $50,000 grant from the Snohomish County Community Development Block fund. The Mountlake Terrace Elementary class, led by teacher Karly Kline, walked the few blocks from the school to the playground on the sunny Friday morning
