In honor of Earth Day, the City of Mountlake Terrace is providing an opportunity for citizens to give back to their community.
Families, friends and neighbors are invited to help tidy up Evergreen Playfield Complex on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Volunteers should meet at the Evergreen Playfield parking lot, 22205-56th Ave. W. at 9 a.m. in comfortable work clothes and with gloves and tools in hand (no power equipment please) to get their assignment.
This year’s projects include painting (weather permitting), weed control, litter clean up, and debris removal. Following the work party, the Mountlake Terrace City Council will host an appreciation lunch for the volunteers.
Groups should contact Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch at 425-776-1811 to register their participation in advance.
