Evergreen Elementary Equipment heading to Cedar Way Elementary

On Saturday a group of parents from Cedar Way Elementary broke down the play equipment at the soon-to-be-demolished Evergreen Elementary School.

Helping were 5 CWE Dads: Brian, Jeff, Keith, Taylor and Matt and Paul from the District. Laura and I mostly supervised, did a little digging (although Scapper the dog did a better job with the digging), and did a pizza run. It took them about 3 hours to take down the green slide structure and the climbing wall (9:30-12:30). We don’t have full details on when it’s getting installed at CWE, but were told “soon” after we did the take-down. The District has already put in the purchase order and work order with the installation company. We will definitely be getting the green structure but the rock wall may be going elsewhere.

It was an exciting day and thankfully the rain held off for us!
