Nearly 100 people attended the Mountlake Terrace Evergreen Awards Ceremony held at the Ballinger Clubhouse last week. The program promotes beautification efforts in the city by recognizing residents and businesses who take pride in maintaining their properties. It also helps encourage conservation as part of the city’s sustainability strategy.

This year’s presentation featured 28 award-winning properties, including 15 residences from six neighborhoods, two businesses and two multifamily properties. In addition, nine Transformation Awards recognized owners who renovated their properties to become assets to the community. Sixteen honorable mention awards were also given out.

Winners received a plaque to be displayed at their property.

“The Evergreen Awards Program unites our community and works toward the goal of enhancing our appearance,” said Mountlake Terrace Mayor Jerry Smith. “It’s nice to have the opportunity to recognize our property owners for their contribution toward our positive image.”

The Evergreen Awards began in 2009 with grant funding from the Snohomish County-Camano Association of Realtors (SCCAR).

We have attached a copy of all the winners and their photos here.
