Man With Felony Escape Warrant Takes Police on Chase Through MLT Neighborhood

A man wanted for a felony escape warrant caused quite the ruckus Sunday night when police chased him through a Mountlake Terrace neighborhood.

According to Commander Hansen with the MLT PD, officers were attempting to pull over a driver an expired temporary license and a cell phone violation and the subject would not stop. The driver ditched the car near 228th St SW and 66th Ave W and the man took of running.

Several residents sent in tips to MLTnews saying that police officers were searching in in their yards with a K-9 unit around midnight.

Commander Hansen reports that the subject was eventually found and booked in to Snohomnish County jail. The man ended up having a warrant for felony escape, which Commander Hansen said is likely for some kind of community custody or probation violation.
