Election Results, Wednesday Update

After another day of counting, not much has changed in local races and measures. The Civic Campus proposition still trails 54%-46%. There may still be a few votes trailing in over the next few days but it likely won’t be even close to the number of votes needed to pass with 60%.

The Legislative and Congressional District races remain relatively unchanged since yesterday. In an email to supporters Wednesday Jay Inslee (D) more or less claimed victory over James Watkins (R) in the 1st Congressional District, results currently have him leading 56%-44%.

In the 21st Legislative Distsrict, Paul Shin (D) has a large lead over David Preston (R) for the State Senate position. In the State Representative positions Marko Liias (D) leads Elizabeth Scott (R) 53%-47% and Mary Helen Roberts (D) leads Ed Borey (R) 56%-44%.

In the 1st Legislative District, which is most of Mountlake Terrace, Derek Stanford (D) leads Dennis Richter (R) 52%-48% and Heidi Munson (R) has a slim 392 vote lead over Luis Moscoso (D), 51%-49%.
