Election 2012: Brier annexation still passing in latest results

By Doug Petrowski

After another day of vote-counting at the Snohomish County Election Division, there was no change in the totals for City of Brier Proposition 1, which appeared on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot. The annexation measure is still passing by a three-vote margin, 22-19, with two-thirds of the ballots issued now counted.

The proposition, if approved by a majority of Brier voters, would annex into the city limits 15.9 acres of the Allview Heights neighborhood between 228th and 231st Streets Southwest, and 24th and 27th Avenues West.

The county election division plans on releasing more results of ballot tabulation on Saturday by 5 p.m.
