Educators recognized during Foundation for Edmonds School District Awards Ceremony

Edmonds School District employees and officials gathered outside the food court at Alderwood Mall on Wednesday evening to celebrate and award grant money to educators who take part in projects that progress student learning, as well as recognize volunteers during the Foundation for Edmonds School District Award Ceremony 2016.

More than 35 projects were recognized, along with 10 volunteers. The Foundation made awards totaling over $67,000, including:

-16,500 classroom grants
-10,000 school-wide grants
-$18,000 music programs in partnership with the Edmonds Daybreakers Jazz Connection
-$23,000 school-wide grants from our Celebrate Schools 5k Run/Walk.
